APPLGUY: Could you assit me with my Bosch Dishwasher

I have lots of water at the bottom of my dishwasher. I took the hose off the garbage disposal and only a little trickle of water is draining.

I can only think something is blocking it or the drain pump is not working correctly.

regardless i am going to have to take it out and get inside to check the hose or replace the pump.

Do you know how to get inside the Shx46a line of Bosch dishwasher.

I really have no experience with dishwashers but i have fixed my clothes washer and dryer.

Thank YOU!!!

Do you have an air gap on the counter top?
Point the dishwasher hose into a bucket and try the dishwasher in the drain cycle. Do you have good flow? If not you probably have a blocked hose. When in the wash or rinse cycle do you hear the water being moved around. If you can't be sure, stick a small screwdriver in the door interlock and close the door lever. Holding the door only slightly open, turn the dishwasher on to a wash cycle. You are probably going to get wet. If water is being sprayed around, the pump is working and the input is clean. A dishwasher is really only just a water pump. The water is either being pumped up through the arms or it is being pumped out. Same pump used for both functions. If water is being sprayed around, pull the dishwasher out and check the other end of the discharge hose for blockage. If pump is running but no water is being sprayed around, look for blockage where water drains back down into the pump.

Answer:

Took the washer completly out. Pain in the butt...However found that the hose was indeed kinked.

I dont understand how though since the washer never moved and it worked for two years. The kink was just inside the dishwasher side of the cabinet just before it goes through the cabinet to the garbage disposal.

Go figure.

Thanks for your help
