agitator slipping on kenmore elite washer 11022932100

Hi I have a kenmore elite washer 11022932100, the agitator seems to be slipping. I research this and I think it is the clutch dogs that have to be replaced. I have a diagram explaining what to do, but the once I have taken the fabric dispenser off and the the barrier cap of there should be a bolt and washer. What I see is round plastic cap with a square inverted shape, I need to remove this to get to the bolt. Does anybody know if there's a special tool to remove this piece or a particular way to remove this part. Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks roosta33
