skin lesions

I have raised white areas all over my back. It feels like scabs but my daughter says it does not look like that. My ex-Doctor aid it was probably just heat rash. I have had this problem for about two years now. Same rough , raised area's, in the same spots. It feels like tree bark to me. Now it has started to crack open and bleed at times.

I am an old lady so I expect to have skin problems of some type. I have age spots and things called keratosis which are benign problems according to a skin specialist I went to about 3 years ago before this" bark" on my back. Should I worry or bear with it? (Ican't see a Doctor until spring unless it is emergency) Does anyone have any remedies for this?

Those bark like areas are really quite common. Some of us have them in little spots here and there, but if they are breaking open and bleeding, I would be concerned and get it checked out asap. Sorry, no home remedies or no oitment you can buy over the counter will do any good. It is our skin telling us that we should ahve taken better care of it 30 years ago ! I have the same problem, but to a lesser degree, here and there. It is isnit noticeable and doesnt bother me.
