how would a fertilizer manufacturing company work all year round, when the demand is only seasonal

Because they have to keep up with demand and get their stocks up and running for the new season. Big fertilizer companies have customers living in warmer climates so there probably is a demand year round.

We have a grass seed and fertilizer company in our town and they work all year round.
