I was just wondering, what are the working conditions like in underwater welding?

I knew someone in the field years ago, lots of travel, including overseas, and your voice changes from being under water for long periods of time.

Besides the salary, not too many positives

The guy trained down in Texas somewhere and was sent to Saudi Arabia in the early 80's. He did it for about 3 years, now works in the city in heavy construction.
