Boy, this question is coming up a lot lately....

Before I scold you on having unprotected sex, the brown discharge is probably just old blood working its way out of your body. If it goes away in a day or so, and there is no cramping or other symptoms to cause worry, you'll be fine.

You will NOT be fine, however if you continue to have unprotected sex with your boyfriend. That's how diseases are passed and babies are made. Now, I'm sure you are a responsible person and just this one time you had unprotected sex, but now realize how dangerous that can be and have decided to seek other forms of protection in the future, right?

I agree completley.

It sounds like it's just old blood ridding itself.
But please, next time (like jillianleab said) have safe sex.

Withdrawal is NOT a form of birth control.
