Hi

I'm a draftsman .... residential house plans.

New codes in my area are requiring Mechanical drawings to show
unit size, duct size, plenum run, etc....

Before, I only had to specify if the unit was in attic area or down in it's own closet and show location of R/A.

Would appreciate advice on good books to show me layout basics for attic areas, plenum runs, duct sizes, etc...

Thanks

Danna

Hey Danna, I don't do this work myself but the plenum size will be determined by the HVAC contrators spec. They determine the BTUs required and what furnace to use and that determines the air flow. They need to supply you with the info and you shouldn't have to dig it up on your own.

Thanks for the reply ballengerb1.

Still would be interested in learning more about, though.
