I have a Maytag Central air unit. It keeps freezing up from the unit to the hose that comes into the house.

Air conditioners usually freeze for 2 reasons.

Low airflow, dirty filter, evaporator coil or wrong blower speed.
Low on refrigerant charge.

Could be air flow problem. Check filter, Clean condensing (outdoor unit) unit. Make sure all you regiters are opon and not blocked. If not that could be low on refrigerant. You will need to call a tech to check that for you.
