I have had a yellow discharge for about nine months. I recently went to the doc and they gave me a metronidazole for bacterial infections. I took it for ten days. At first the yellow discharge lighten but went back to the way it was before i went to the doc. There is some icthing. I want to know, Wut type of infection is this? Why didnt the metronidazole didnt work?

Ask for a referral to see a gyno.

It could be a yeast infection. Go to the gyno and ask him if he thinks it's a yeast infection. Tell him about the itching.

It sucks having any kind of infection, but I think the worst in a yeast infections because you feel uncomfortable all the time.
