We are just getting some hot weather so i turned thermostat to cool-- the interior furnace has iced over . I dont know what to do?

It could be a few things. Dirty air filter, blocked return air opening, closed supply registers,refrigerant leak,if the unit was left on and the night was cool that can also cause it to ice up because of a low ambiant condition.
