Hi again, I read , on this site that a "fine needle" biopsy isn't painful, and should I make sure that it is "fine needle" as opposed to a "bigger needle"? thanks in advance

Firstly, the doctor will do a fine needle biopsy, they don't use "bigger" needles. A fine needle biopsy is a procedure all it's own.

As for the pain, the doctor will numb the area. It is not painful, maybe a little uncomfortable, but not painful. It only lasts a VERY short time, less than a minute.

I had one done 10+ years ago. I had a small bruise to show for it, but no pain.
