I recently moved to US on a L1B visa some 4 months back
My concern is what should I do with respect to the tax returns filing?
Do I need to file?If yes on what basis?As a non-resident alien?
An my another question is - Am I exempt from backup withholding?

If someone could throw some light on this, it'd be great!!...Thanks!

If you were paid in your home country currency and did NOT receive a W-2, your salary is likey exempt from income taxes.

If youDID get a W-2, then you should file as a non-resident alien, filing Form 1040NR-EZ.
