I have bags under my eyes for the past 6 months. I am 42 years old. Suggest a non-surgical remedy.

get plenty of rest, dont abuse the skin around your eyes, when applying eye cream should always pat on, treat that area gentle as possible. I use, from time to time, used, very cold tea bags on each eye and lay down for a while. Cucumber slices work well too. Take a good look over the products in the beauty section of your pharmacy, there is lots of good stuff out there now to reduce the swelling under the eyes, but not a permament basis. Only you can do that with ultra care.

I have read that this can sometimes be caused by blood pooling there when you are sleeping. Try sleeping with some pillows elevating your head.

I have heard that preparation H is good for puffy eyes.

Bags under the eyes are a symptom of excess fluids and fat that settles into the area. Other factors include genetics, aging, fluid retention, lack of sleep and allergies.

I do not recommend using Preparation H around the eyes because it can inflame the skin. For temporary results, you can try using sliced cucumbers or potatoes around your eyes to reduce the under eye bags. For longer lasting results, use an under eye cream daily, it can improve the appearance of dark circles and bags. Eye creams that contains Vitamin K and Vitamin C will help diminish under-eye bags and puffiness.

Laying down too much can cause bags under the eyes.

Do you have allergies. If so, you might want to try an antihistamine.
