Hi,

I am confused about which tax forms to fill for 2006?????

My statistics are as below:
Single,
Working for a company for the entire year 2006(For first 2 months Jan & Feb I worked on F1/OPT, For remaining part of the year 2006 worked on H1B)
H1B status since March 1 2006
Have been in the US for past 5 years for more than 300 days each year
For 2005 I filed 1040NR-EZ & 8843

Which Tax form/s do I need to fill for 2006???? 1040EZ or 1040NR-EZ???? What other forms are needed???

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Alph

Alph:

If you arrived in the U.S. on or after 1 January 2002, then you must file as a dual-status alien for 2006, which requires BOTH Form 1040 and 1040NR.

If you arrived BEFORE 2002 (anytime in 2001 or earlier), then you can file as a resident alien, filing Form 1040EZ, 1040A or 1040.
