We just replaced our thermostat and ever since then the heat will come on and is ignited but still blowing cold air.

Probably something you did with the wiring when you changed the thermostat.
Try putting the old one back on the exact way you took it off to see if that fixes the problem.

Check to see if you bought a heat pump thermostat. the A/C may be running with the heat.
