I have a new unit I can't get the heating to come on, the air works great what do i need to do/

The last couple of time that happened to me in a house I have owned for six years, the igniter had to be replaced. Everything would come on as usual, thought it was the thermostat. Although mine wasnt a new gas furnace, it could probably happened to a new one too.
