Looking for the Best whole house humidifier probably steam type. Need to buy 2 units, currently have 2 carrier by-pass units that do not seem to work they only waste thousands of gallon of water a month but still have static in the house units are 2 years old have never worked right. The AprilAire model 800 has a very high annual maintenance cost with having to replace the water tanks every 2 to 3 months at $90 each. I would like one that was efficient and easy to maintain.
