There is no limit in a residential structure. It is not how many outlets that is on a circuit that matters, it how many that are in use at one time.

In addition to Harold's comments-And what load you will have on them. You may be only able to use 2 outlets if, for example, you are running space heaters.

So please tell us, is this for a dwelling? Do you know what is being powered?
Is this a homework question?.

Instead of just re-asking the same question why not answer hfcarson's questions?

Just for clarification, there is a definition of the term "Outlet", do you know what it is?

An "Outlet" is not a receptacle. So, exactly what are you asking?

I don't understand the hesitation of many who ask questions...
If the question is not clear, it is unlikely the answer can be...
If the question can not be understood, it is unlikely... (same as above)

kozy, knowledge is important, so chase after it and don't give up until you get it...
