Hello n:

Warrants are upheld all over the United States. You'll be arrested by the Florida cops, and transported back by the DOC hacks.

Hello excon

I thought that states only had jurisdiction within a certain amount of miles and that extradition is on the warranting state to come get me and the current state won't proceed. What about common wealth states? Dont those states have jurisdiction over you and make it so other states can't touch you?

My earned release date is June 8th, 2015 I already served half my time in prison I was out for you 3 months before they revoked my DOSA on a technicality.

Hello again, n:

Couple things..

Washington DOC doesn't HAVE jurisdiction... That's why the LOCAL cops will arrest you.. They don't "proceed" against you.. They just HOLD you for the arresting state. If the DOC doesn't come to get you, they'll let you go. But, they WILL come.

Like I said, warrants are upheld from coast to coast. There are NO safe states.

Next. When you abscond, your time stops. It will only begin again when you're in custody.

All the US states have mutual extradition rules. Unless the arresting state wants to prosecute you for a crime within their state or you fight extradition on valid grounds. If you are arrested on an outstanding warrant, you will be held for extradition.

Now it is possible that the nature of the warrant and the crime may cause the arresting state to not hold you or that the issuing state doesn't want to go through the expense of an extradition. But I wouldn't count on that.

But as excon said outstanding arrest warrants are honored all over the US.

Hello excon,
Thank you for your help by the way

Now my maximum ERD is June 8th, 2015 I thought that they couldn't extend on that date because it's my maximum regardless

What about Virginia and Massachusetts? Is that what you mean? Nothing but semantics. No difference, as far as you're concerned.

Hello excon,
Thank you for your help btw

Your maximum date is predicated on your fulfilling the terms of your probation. As soon as you violated those terms, all bets were off.

Hello again, n:

Now my maximum ERD is June 8th, 2015 I thought that they couldn't extend on that date because it's my maximum regardlessNope. If that was so, people could escape from the joint and just stay out long enough for their mandatory release date, and then they're FREE.

But, it's NOT like that. You don't get credit for time spent on escape and/or a violation. So, your time ISN'T running, and the warrant will last FOREVER.
