The police in my town threaten to arrest anyone who won't let them search my rental property, they pretend to have warrants they pull over everyone leaving my house and tell them I'm a drug dealer and my house is a drug house( including my grandmother and parents), they kick in my door and steal my personal property(ring), they permanently damage the nerves in my arm leading me to be in permanent pain, they twist facts and lie and then arrest my renters who have done nothing wrong and broken no laws. They constantly monitor my house and then come there to ask why this person was there or if I know this person. Why this individual stopped at my house but never came inside and I never talked to them while they were there, but they stopped and stayed for twelve minutes at midnight last Wednesday
I live in a relatively small town that lies close to a major highway, I moved to this town a few years ago with the intention of getting married and starting a family, but when we split I got stuck with the house payment and this is what has led to my problem. Because my homes income was cut in half I decided to rent the rooms out in my house to friends from work or whoever could pay the rent. This worked out pretty good and eventually led to me buying the house next door, where I live at this time with my new gorgeous fiancé and one roommate who pays rent for one of the rooms in this second house. This leaves me with another four bedroom house that I try to keep full of renters, however the police department has made this very hard not only do they continually stop at this residence acting as if they have a warrant and wanting to search or threatening to arrest anyone who won't let them search and then search anyway. They have done this a half dozen times or as in one case one friend came out to greet another who had just arrived and took his motorcycle helmet from him and was holding it the police for no reason pulled in and started harassing everyone then wrote my friend a ticket and arrested him for driving without a license just because he was holding a helmet while they loaded the bike in the back of the truck.
The police recently came by house number two and asked some questions about my niece and my uncle my roommate talked to them and they left later they came back and when they asked to talk to my niece I brought her outside. The cop arrested my friend he had talked to earlier for telling the police my niece was not there when she was. The deal is the cop asked a bunch of questions but didn't ask if my niece was there he didn't ask to talk to her he asked who she was and if she lived at my house. My roommate answered all the questions honestly. This is just one of the things they do they twist stuff around and make you guilty of nothing. When they arrested my friend they almost broke his arm I heard it pop from probably fifteen feet away. This is petty, but it is like this all the time Im literally afraid of the cops in my town.
The police responded to an ex renters call that I moved there stuff out of my house and their rented room, which was true, but I had permission and me moving this renters stuff was part of the agreement we had between each other. So this renter calls the police and tells them I had moved all their stuff into the garage, the police come to my house and arrest me for burglary even though I had whitnesses that I had permission it was part of the agreement and these renters had held a yard sale and sold around two thousand dollars of my personal property. I had two whitnesses to both of these facts but still they arrested me for burglary and put me in the cop car. I eventually was released because I agreed to allow these two ex renter thieving drug addict to move back in and stay another week until they decided they wanted to leave.
On numerous occasions I have been told by several of my friends and my relatives that directly after leaving my house they were pulled over and interrogated about why they were at my house who they were how they knew me and so on. The police both the county and the city who are involved in this then tell the individual they are harassing that my house is a known drug house and they have arrested people with drugs both leaving my house and staying in my house, which to my knowledge even now a year or so later is a complete lie and the constant harassment continues everyday. The county police and the highway patrol actually kicked in my bedroom door and after handcuffing me (even though it was obvious I had just the day before had surgery on my arm and I told them they shouldn't put me in cuffs) they stood around threatening me my fiancé and her little brother that we were going to jail. They searched with a k-9 unit as well as by hand. The highway patrol who searched my room and my safe actually stole my fiancé's engagement ring out of the safe. The highway patrol told me he sits outside and listens to me sell heroine to the neighborhood and that I had been reported to be a heroine dealer.
I explained to him which was a topic I had spoke to the police about before, I had one renter who I had become concerned about and after some careful attention and legally searching his room after I warned him I would do so and I am allowed to do so, I found several itiems which led me directly to the conclusion this individual was selling some sort of drugs.
I had to kick this individual out of my house, not only because I do not tolerate drug use in my house but also because I am legally responsible in some circumstances for these renters behavior once I have knowledge of it. I told them I guess he said I was his supplier right, he just nodded and went on telling me he knew I was a dealer and so on threatening us all and threatening to put my 86 year old uncle in a home( I take care of my 86 year old handicapped great uncle)
I know I am leaving out some stuff but that is the average of the crap we put up with on a constant basis. I know that heroine and other drug are a big problem in my town and the area. I know that I have had drug addicts renting rooms in my house I believe I even had a dealer but I kicked him out immediately. I do not tolerate drugs in any form or any situation. My renters sign a contract and lease that specifically lays out my anti drug policy. I have done all I can to keep my house clean and to keep drugs out of it. I am because of my financial situation forced to deal with low income renters, this seems to inturn without fail force me to deal with individuals who are seemingly more likely to abuse drugs. I have kicked out three or four individuals who I have caught both high or physically in the presence of drugs.
I do the best I can but the police and their blind harassment is threatening not only my ability to pay my bills but also came to the point of threatening my freedom not to mention the fact that I have been told by several neighbors that the police have told them I am a drug addict and drug dealer. I can't even speak to my neighbors it is so embarrassing to have this hanging over my head for no reason other than a large group of cops who lie harass and twist the truth as well as steal and assault me and my renters.
I need help either by means of a lawsuit or some type of intervention to stop this harassment and defamation. By the way I have not been charged or convicted of a crime in over ten years since I was eighteen years old. I straightened up my life. I moved to another town I have spent a decade being a respectable member of society and these police have destroyed my reputation in a little more than a year. What can I do?

You can and should hire a lawyer. Telling total strangers online all these details isn't going to solve anything.

Due to the lack of paragraphs, your thread was very hard to read.

As far as search warrants, they are required to show them to you. If they don't show them, you request to view it.

Also, have you done background checks on your tenants? From what I was able to read, it does sound like your property is suspicious for drug activity.

If they "kick" a door in, they had to have a warrant. So they threaten to arrest, people laugh at them, and ask to see the warrant.

I am sure there is more to the story as to why you are a target ?

But if they harmed you, you file a law suit against them.

These are Federal violations and would be done in Federal court, outside of city control
