I have a L1 visa and received a W-2 in the state of florida. My wife is not here with me and i am the only one with the L1 visa. How do i file my federal income tax return?

You CAN file jointly if you have met or will meet the Substantial Presence Test for your stay while on the L-1 visa.

You will need to get your wife an ITIN, but that is relatively simple (see other posts for the process).
