Troy bilt bronco blew fuse at battery now will turn over but will not run

Hi,
I am going to go out on a limb here because of the description. I am going to say the key switch failed causing the blown fuse and at the same time supplying battery voltage to the armature ground and blowing it. Check the engine for ignition.
