Can someone talk about how these sports are related?

There is a few ways these sports are related.

First off Hockey and lacrosse are related because...
1. You use sticks.
2. You are shotting at a net.
3. There is a lot of contact such as checking and getting hit with the sticks.
4. They were the same pads..
5. A very complicated game.

Soccer...
1. Shot at a goal.
2. Lots of contact.
