I have been using Ortho-Lo for about a year and a half now, and have only never really had any problems, other than when taking anti-biotics. I started taking Zoloft, however, two and a half weeks ago. I am due to have my period in three days, but for the past two days I have had a brown discharge. It's not enough for a pad, but I'm worried about it. I'm still taking the dark blue pills. Is this something to be concerned about? Can a medication like Zoloft affect the birth control?

Thank you!!

This sounds as though it may be a simple case of breakthrough bleeding. Happens every once in a while on the pill.

Zoloft does not affect the effects of birth control pills in any way.

It is good that you are checking up on this and know that many antibiotics do in fact decrease the effectiveness of the pill.
