Hi, I'm Indian citizen, I was In US during Feb 2006 to Aug 2006 in Nebraska state on L1 visa.

1 Can you please let me know what forms do I need to submitt ?
Is 1040NREZ the only form to submitt for Federal and Nebraska State Form?

2 What form/document should I submitt so that I should have record that I've actually filled my returns.

3 Is it mandatory to submitt 8843 form ?

Thanks in Advance

Harsh

1) You need to file a dual-status return if you were in the U.S. on the L-1 visa for more than 183 days.

2) If you were in the U.S. for less than 183 days, file as a non-resident alien, filing Form 1040NR-EZ. File the Nebraska tax form for a part-year resident.

3) No; this form is only if your visa status is F-1 or J-1.
