Hi, I normally have my hair high-lighted---for years. I asked my stylist today to color my roots to give me a "boost" for the summer (instead of high lighting with foils). I thought it was going to "blend"---she's the expert, right? I'm pretty sure she bleached it using a scalp-friendly bleach, then I know she added toner. Once the toner was taken off, it didn't look like it had done ANYTHING different than the bleach! Now, my roots are YELLOW and the rest of my hair looks high-lighted--weird!!!! HELP! What can I do to fix it until I get back in to see her? It's a blinding yellowish/brassy and is much lighter than the rest of my hair! Thanks! I'm naturally a "mousy-light brown color".

You should let your hairstylist fix the mistake. If you try to fix it yourself, it could make matters worse and the salon will charge you more money to re-do the color.

Thanks! She had a cancellation the next day and "fixed" it---I'll never be doing that again, what a nightmare! :(
