I started my period on normal time, but it's not red. It's been brown since. I started on monday, and today is wed and it's still brown. is that something to be concerned about? This has never happened to me. Usually I get a brown spotting a day before i start my period and a day after, but never during the period and my period is alway red til now.

To give some info since I am new here - I am 23 year old, using the nurva ring as my birtch control and I'm sexually active with my boyfriend.

I'm using the Implanon as a birth control and sometimes when i get my period it's a brown colour too. At times it's just spotting while at other times it's more brown than red. I went to a doctor and she said most of the time it could just be a change in the hormone levels, so I haven't been too worried about it. Go to a doctor if it starts to concern you really bad. Are you experiencing any pains?

Actually no I'm not experincing any pain. Just the usual cramps a couple day before my period starts, but strangely no cramps at all during my period. Just realized that. I guess it's probably nothing, and I'll just wait til the next period and see if it's the same or not.
