Hi all,
Thanks to all the information obtained from this forum, I have been able to file my federal returns. I now have a question regarding the state tax returns. I am a dual-status alien for the year 2006 as far as IRS goes. Is it the same for state as well? I live and work in CA. It would be great if someone can tell me what forms I need to file for CA state taxes?

I worked on OPT for Jan/Feb of 2006 and on H-1 the rest of the year. And before that I was on F-1 for 4 years from 2002.
Appreciate all the help.
Thanks a bunch.

You file as a full-year resident for California. Your visa status means NOTHING to the state.
