Hi Tax Experts,
I am filing the tax for the first time and was wondering if I can file online using Turbotax or similar software when my spouse and daughter are having ITIN. Someone told me if I am filing jointly with spouse who has ITIN I need to submit hard copies rather than filing on line.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
Manoj

"Someone" is correct.

If you are submitting Form W-7 to apply for anITIN, the return must be mailed hard-copy. It CANNOT be filed on-line.
