Hi, I'm trying to see how to get my 12 year old Boston Terrier to eat something. Over the past few months, she's developed arthritis problems and painful spasms that she now has medication for (anti-inflammitory and pain-killers). Then on this last vet visit, we learned that she has lots of graham bacteria (I think that's the right name for it) in her. She now has medication for this too. However, she will not eat or drink anything even if we try to coax her with peanut butter or hotdogs. Its very difficult to give her any medication if she will not eat to begin with. Any suggestions on how to get her to eat something?

I would call the vet and discuss the lack of appetite, it could be that the meds need changing or adjusting.
What meds is she on?
Some medications can result in decreased appetite or she may be feeling nauseated from the meds.
Ask your vet if he/she would think that a stomach protectant may help?
In the mean time, try some boiled chicken and rice, no fat, no bones, no skin or seasoning.
Most dogs can't resist it and it will be bland enough not to cause her stomach upset.
But give your vet a call and discuss the meds and the lack of appetite, they know her history and the medications that she is on and should be able to help get her back on track.
