I have a 21 week old German WireHaired Pointer who weighs in at 21.70 kgs. I am wondering when to change her to adult food but can find no definite answers. Some people say 4 months some 6 months right up to 18 months so I'm very confused.
At present she has a 30% protein food and whilst I realise that as she is growing she needs high protein, I don't know when to lower it. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Most vets agree that a puppy should be given strictly puppy food for at least the first year of its life. Some vets say 2 years is even better.

A puppy grows for the first year. The first six months are huge growth spurts, with it tapering off a bit for the next 6 months. Dog food at this young age will affect the puppies development, bone growth, and can cause many issues later in life.

Feed the puppy food for at least the first year, I would do 18 months at least. :)

Do you have any pictures you can post of your fur baby?
