My 3 kids father is in prison and has been since 2008, and doesnt get put till 2027. Can i collect his social security to help raise my kids?

Was he collecting Social Security disability prior to going to prison ?

But no being in prison is not a reason to collect from his SS.

No he wasnt collecting. I was told i could collect as a form of child support.
