Are they currently rejecting them?
Any statements written by government officials that this is the same person?

We haven't had our appointment yet but the consulate is adamant that the names and dates be identical. It says to get the issuing department to chanage the certificates. The local and state vital records departments say they cannot make any changes nor will they attest to the fact that the names and dates repfer to the same persons.
