I feel like I am screwing into the Seat too tightly and not adjusting the outer nut correctly.

Tom Thanks Tom, Like to get your advice on a couple other issues;Do I turn either of the two nuts before installing the valve/stem after installing the new seat ?; Do i let the small nut turn as i screw the stem/valve into the manifold against the seat or do i hold the smaller nut (the outer nut that the stem goes into with another wrench to keep it from turning when threading into the manifold ? Lowell Hey Lowell, Now you're getting into specifics. So I have to also. To answer your questions I'll need the brand name and model of the valve.
