I'm installing a 6ft rectangle drop-in Jacuzzi tub. The tub will rest on a wooden surround. The tub inself as a small 2' lip around the edge where in meets the surround. The surround will be layed with tile - both on the wall and around the tub lip where in meets the surround or frame. Should the tiles facing the bathroom interior be slightly pitched downward to drain water off the surround?

Hi Tornado

I've done tons of these and I don't really see a reason to pitch the surround/platorm here.

If water gets up and on the plateform it will evaporate or you can dry it...if you pitch the platform it will only fall on the floor....don't see much difference.
