I am working with child protective custody to obtain custody of my nephew. I had to go have my fingerprintd done, I was arrested a few years back but not convicted. It was for an FTA on a repossessed car. I never was charged for anything, never went to court, I was released and it was over. Will this show or hurt my chances of gaining custody? Thanks

Most likely it will show up. for this, it may have some effect but if your attorney is good they should be able to explain it to satisfaction of the court

Thanks. We have an answer hearing on Tuesday. We should know something then. It was such a silly thing to be arrested over, especially since we didnt know of the court date at all so thats why I didnt appear. I always thought if a company was suing you it was civil. Never thought you could end up in jail. You live and learn!!
