First offense? Returning the merchandise has nothing to do with the charge or the "punishment." It's still $7,000 in theft.

Is this theft from an employer?

If you are lucky probation, most likely 5 years or so. Or 3 to 5 year jail sentence with about one year served.

If the merchandise is still not in the same package, and even then it may not be still sellable by many rules and laws.

But paying back the store most likely the full amount, plus a penalty, plus a fine plus court costs, my guess 15,000 or so in total money to be paid during probation.

My feeling is jail time. Theft from an employer is treated harshly.

I was staying at a couple house ad they stole my diamond ring that was 3.25 carats the center stone was over 1.5 ad the four side stones where over .55 carats the chipped the diamonds taking them out of the setting ad pawed them the paw shop didn't even give them 100 dollars for 2 52 with for 3 stone ad I don't know what he got for the other two. I knew the ring was there ad I continued to ask them to ship it to me the said they would but instead they tore it apart and broke the setting ad damaged the diamonds what charges is he looking at and why is the wife not arrested for aiddig ad oebbdig she was text me and facebook me that they where going to return the ring to me then finally told me to off I set the texts and facebook pages to the police tey wet to his house e took them to where he pawed the diamonds ad the paw owner said the diamonds were damaged what charges are the facing and who is going to replace my rig
