My Central AC is not working right. The inside unit (in attic) is blowing when I have the thermostat turned off. But when I turn the thermostat to AC the outside unit comes on and the inside unit turns off. I left it like that for about ten minutes waiting for the inside blower to come on checked out the outside unit and the line was starting freeze over. I waited till the next day and tried again same thing. I've also noticed that when I turn the thermostat to fan only the inside unit will turn off but on auto it runs all the time unless you turn it to AC. I thought it might be the thermostat so today I changed it and still same thing. Even with all wires disconnected from the thermostat my inside unit is still running but if I touch the red wire to the green wire it will shut off. Seems completely backwards. It's 105 degrees here in okc and it sucks. I have lived here two years and never had a problem with it working before. Does anyone know what would make again?
