I was tricked into signing over my son to his grandparents. I did not realize through the fine print that they were going to adopt him. You need to get an attorney to fight this. Generally, a court requires that a parent affirm the adoption in court. Are you the father or mother? Where is the other parent?

If this just happened recently and the adoption was by family members you may be able to get it overturned, but you need an attorney.

Do you have a copy of this? If not and nothing had been filed then they may be able to get away with it. It sounds like you didnt fully read what you were signing. Were you 18 or older at the time you signed it?
