I love rock, metal, and screamo music. For some reason, I have a longing to be on Warped Tour, at Download Festival and headlining for Kerrang!. I realize it is a long process, my father already bought me an acoustic guitar and is getting me an eletric for christmas. I have set a goal for myself that by the time i am 14, I want a band. Also, for some reason, every time I hear about the all girl rock group Cherri Bomb, I get filled with envy. I supppse its because the youngest is 14, and they are already playing Warped Tour. I was just wondering, why do I want fame so much? Every time I think of my future, im on a stage playing a guitar. I cannot see myself doing anything else.

Everyone has impractical daydreams. If yuo are good, very good, go to auditions.

For every thousand working musicians there is one (and the odds are probably smaller than that) who is famous.

I'd say you are seeking fame because you like attention. Question is whether you have the talent to do it.

try not to focus on the fame side of it so much. Alls you need is that guitar. When i started at 17, I would sit for hours upon hours in my bedroom playing and learning how to read tablature and after about a month or two i started writing my own riffs. Thats the key. It all starts with a riff. You'll most likely have to build up your own little library of riffs before you start putting them together to form a song but by then, your playing will be drastically improved. If you play many hours by yourself along with some of your favorite bands you could be in a band as early as i was. 6 months. may the force be with you, i may even see you in a club in atlanta in about a year
