I'm putting a wood floor in a half-bath. Does the sewer-flange, that connects the toilet to the sewer- pipe, have to be raised to the height of the wood floor or is there any need when using a toilet gasket /

You can buy shims for raising the toilet flange at HD, Lowes or other supply store. Easy fix. Yes, it should be flush or slightly above the ffloor.
