I've been using sun-in for a couple years to lighten my hair color, and this past december i decided i wanted to go back to brown, my natural color. i used semi permanent from rite aid and it faded after only a week. so then i tried it again but it still didn't work. I dyed it a third time, but picked another brand to see if that would work. the color i picked ended up too light, and after about a month my mom and i finally went to sally's and picked out everything you need to color your hair - we had demipermanent color, the applying brush, the mixing bowl, special shampoo and conditioner to keep it from fading, etc. we got all the professional tools to MAKE SURE it would work. i left the hair color in for longer and it ended up REALLY dark, so i thought if it faded at all, it would at least stay brown. but after a couple weeks it still faded! i don't know why it keeps doing this, i used the special shampoo/conditioner and everything, but it doesn't work for me. some of my friends have dyed their hair dark and theirs stays for months at a time! i'm not sure if i should get my hair stripped to get the sun-in out since it might be that? i just want my hair color to stay dark!

I learned my lesson years ago with sun-in and stopped using it. It fried my hair to pieces. You cant get it out, you just have to stop using it. Get your hair cut to eliminate the damage.

yeah i threw it out a while ago and i haven't used it in months. i think it's the reason my hair fades so easily... so stripping it won't work? ):

The sun-in has already stripped parts of your hair.
