Have a Single control kitchen faucet w/ pull out spray and want to replace the cartridge but it appareas sealed inside the brass cover with no way to access, pull the illustrated retaining clip, and then pull out the old cartridge. Is this cover soldered on over the cartridge? Bought in 2004 and think its a model 7560

Don't really know what cover you are talking about but here is a breakdown of a 7560.

You have to remove the hose (drop it to inside or even pull it out through the "brass cover") in order to remove the "brass cover"...;)

Get the hose out of the way and then pull upward hard...should release!
