Only parents who know you and your family would even think of hiring you to babysit and they probably have their own sitter. Work with your parents to connect with fellow church members or neighbors who are childless or elderly who might need light housework done or weeds pulled in the yard/garden or lawn furniture washed or the garage/basement swept out.

For instance, I would hire you to put together three 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles to make sure all the pieces are still in the box before I donate them to the VA hospital. I would hire you to take all the fiction books off my shelves, wipe down the shelves, dust off the tops of the books, and reshelve them in ABC order by author name. In fact, I have tons of work for you to do to clean out my kitchen cabinets. Wish you lived in my neighborhood!
