When I applied for an ITIN number they spell my name wrong. I also just got married, so my question is how do I fix my name and put my new married name?

How do I change it?

I'm sorry, there seems to be a language barrier. I have no idea what an itin num is. Are you talking about a social insurance number? What country do you live in?

Whatever you're talking about, if they spelled your name wrong, contact them, tell them you need a new one with the correct spelling of your name.

I know what you are talking about? contact an IRS acceptance agent for the ITIN operation and they can help you with obtaining the original copy and then you will make copy of that one and send it along with a copy of your marriage certificate and court record along with any documents stating your name change.

To this address: Department of Treasury
Internal Revenue Service
P.O. Box 149342
Austin, Texas. 78714-9342
They will submit it to the ITIN operation unit

you can also visit thier web page www.irs.gov/cp565.
please don't hesitate to contact them they are they to help you....
