I am getting ready to submit my application to the Ohio board of nursing to sit for the Nclex and I am not sure if I need to write them a letter explaining that I have this Prayer for Judgment from Dare County, N. Carolina from 10 yrs. Ago. I would hate to put myself at risk for not being able to sit for my exam or have a restritected license unisarily. I was young and experimenting that summer and learned a hard lesson fast. All of my background checks have come back saying that I have no criminal history record on file. I just want to do the right thing here. A prayer for judgment basically says that you are not guilty, but you are not innocent. The charges from the incident were from possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz. and possession of drug pariphenelia. I am a big promoter of living a healthy ,drug and alcohol free life- style, have been for years, and this incident from my past is not a true reflection of my person.

It is like a NOLO plea basically and still viewed in almost all cases as a conviction and will show up on your criminal history,
