View Full Version : Can wife commit fraud on credit cards without permission?

My wife has a sevear gambling problem, So I contacted all credit card holders and had her card teminated and as a non-user 6 days latter she went on 4 of my cards and charged more debt- she had made copies of my cards off our scanner and has also tried to axcess my account since then with no prevail- BUT SHE found that I had made 2 purchases on 2 different cards!! I want to press fraud or identity theft charges as she has done this same thing during her last marriage- Now I am homeless / on friends couch PLEASE any helpful info would be very greatfull Thank You

If her name isn't on the accounts you can... I'd contact the authorities as they can give you the details what to do. I'd also contact your credit card companies AGAIN as well.

In other words, dispute the charges. Charges were made on your account which you did not authorize. You don't have to pay them.

But what are you doing on a friend's couch? Did your wife also "kick you out"?

If these were joint accounts, then she can use the accounts. If they were your accounts and she was just a signer, and you took her off ( not just canceled her cards ** big difference)

You can try and report all of it, how exactly you did it, and how the accounts are listed makes the difference.

Dear AK She is a chronic alcoholic, presception abuser, gambler and mix all those you have a very vendictive person- I had her forced placed in rehab but she manipulated the system-and then ubenounced a restraining order full of lies followed out of revenge-she went through $15000.00 in less than two and a half months and now resides in the house I just 100% remodeled with settelment money from hand injury and disability back pay-would greatly thank you if there is anything else you could add

She obtained an ex parte restraing order? Did you get notice of a follow-up hearing at which you can present your side of the story?
