I had a verbal contract with someone to have them make installment payments for some items. We both agreed that I would hold onto the items until all payments were made. It has been over a year since the first installment payment was made and now they no longer want the items and want their original payment back. Do I have to give them that money back? They are threatening to take me to small claims court to get their original payment back.
