I married my husband a year ago this April and I was wondering if I need a job to go and visit my husband there. He lives in New York.

Would love to meet my in laws and have special holidays with them. Can anyone give me some ideas my husband says its because we are married.

No you do not need a job, You will need a visa, if you are just coming to visit and not say, just tourist visa will be fine.

I am seeing some warning signs.

May I ask what country you reside in and what has your husband told you? Is he the one who told you that you have to have a job to 'visit' him? Has he been discouraging you from visiting and meeting your in-laws?

What contact do you have with your husband? Has he been visiting you?

Is there any plan for you to come to the US and live here?
