My brother was being evicted from his former residence, and I allowed him to move in with me with the understanding that he would get a job and his own place. It's been over six months, and he's done neither. Even though he is not on my lease, the local police state that he has a legal right to live here. How do I evict him? In live in Gainesville, Florida. Alachua County.

He would be considered a month to month tenant. So you can give him 14 days written notice to vacate. If he hasn't left within the 14 days you go to your local courts and file for an eviction order.
